Lydia's Journal ♥

I'm having an utterly fantastic time boarding. This week was fun! Do you know whats not fun? Having to swim in your school's pool at 8:40am when its overcast, about to rain, and class and student ID photos are next period. And you got up early to straighten your hair for nothing. Oh joy!
Well, other than that minor setback, I had an awesome week. To start off, I'd like to wish everyone a happy belated Valentine's Day!!! I had a great V-day, even though I'm single and planning to stay that way for a while yet. My friend in Year 10 (I'm a year nine) at the hostel named Amy, who loves paramore ,glee, and has the exactly the same interest as me, made me six cupcakes complete with a letter made up of paramore lyrics :) Does that not spell Awwww anyone???
Then, there was the Social.(Dance) Which was held with a neighbouring boy's hostel at their hall.
The music was about as loud as concert (at least I think so, having never actually been to one.) , and it was such an awesome night!! It was sooooo hot... thank goodness for a can of coke halfway through!!! The music was utterly fantastic, and would have been great if a fat, ugly, pimply guy asked me and all my friends for our numbers. Predictably, we all refused.
Noticed I've changed the text to green?? That's because it was also our swimming sports last week!!! I'm in the green coloured house, and yes, my throat is still sore from chanting too loudly.
We ended up tying with the blue house, which utterly sucked, and to top that all off...
US BOARDERS NARILY LOST TO THE DAY GIRLS. JOY.

Hope you guys all had a great week, cu

It certainly feels good to be home.
I had two awesome first weeks at boarding school. I made so many new friends, and I just love it!
My first day was alright, if a bit overwhelming. It was kind of boring, seeing as we didn't do any work and just stayed in our form classes. My best friend actually ended up in the same class as me!
I thankfully didn't get lost, but getting up at 6:45am did get some getting used to. I mainly have pretty good teachers, but I hate drama (because of the annoying teacher.)
We have compulsory study time for and hour and 15 minutes every night, which sucks if you have hardly any homework. At least I brought my iPod!
The food is ok, however I still crave my Mum's lasagna. Boarding is so fun, and I know I will have a great first year.
I'm starting guitar lessons next week, and I have a social ( a dance.) and swimming sports.
I'm actually quite good at Science, even though it can get kind of boring. I enjoy English as well. I'm finding the work really easy at this stage, so I hope it gets a little more challenging.
Alice, Stephy, Maizy I miss you guys so much!!wht's been

Tomorrow is the day. I start boarding tomorrow, (we have to be in the hostel in the afternoon a day before school starts.) and I'm so nervous. I'm busy packing and double checking I've got everything, plus naming all my electronics.
I had an awesome summer holiday, and I managed to eat far too much icecream and drink far to much coke.
I'll be starting up a new blog segment: A diary of my highschool days which will be hand written in my journal during the week (depending on how much time I have a spare few minutes) and posted in daily recaps. I won't make it too personal, as I can't really say anything I like online, but I'll make it as honest and factual as possbile (although I might change a few names here and there.)
I'm currently trying to start reviewing the horde of great books I read over the summer holidays. Please bear with me while I try and finish blog construction!!!
Its so scary this is my last post for two weeks (we have to stay in for the first weekend, its like a Year 13 and 9 bonding weekend.) I don't know how I'm going to cope without internet for two weeks, plus without my pet cat Tipsy, who really missed me while I was on holiday for one week. She was like my shadow last night :)

If anyone wants to email me, leave a message on my meebo or comment with your email address. Maiz, thanks for your emails btw :D
I hope everyone has a great two weeks and I'l

I've been listening to a lot of different music, thanks to Alice, who has made a fantastic page with all of her favourite songs. I have discovered a new band called Flyleaf, whom until now I had never realised sung the song "Fully alive." I might buy "All Around Me" plus another Hey Monday song off their new EP before I go on holiday tomorrow.
I finally got in touch with my best friend on facebook the other day, after she had her phone turned off ALL HOLIDAYS plus she never went online. We chatted for like and hour, and it was so funny how much stuff we had to talk about. :)
I've still got A LOT of construction to finish- in fact the published version of my site doesn't even show the half of it. It should be finished by the end of Feb- early March, but I'm not making any promises because I don't quite know the workload in front of me yet for school. (And, if I get into the class I want to, apparently they get LOADS of homework.)
It is a week and one day until I have to go into the boarding hostel. I'm getting really nervous. Considering the fact I've been at the same school my entire life. Eeep?!

First off, It so totally wasn't my fault that my sister overused the internet. That didn't however, stop be from getting banned from the computer for over a week and a half.
I'm busy packing for boarding school. I'm getting nervous/excited/scared/whatever else you can think of. Next week we go on holiday, YAY!. But then, we get back and its ONE DAY until I have to be in the boarding house.
I was sick in the last week, and I had to take giant antibiotic pills three times a day. I'm better now, but still have to finish of the pill bottle. Doctors orders.
I had my eye test a few days ago. I need glasses. Crap. Apparently my right eye isn't working properly, so I now have to (when I get the glasses, which fortunately isn't the first day of highschool.) use them when I read, go on the computer and do schoolwork. Apparently, a new haircut just doesn't cut it when you are trying to escape the "geek girl" look for ONCE IN YOUR LIFE when you need glasses. I should be ok though, seeing as I don't have to wear them all the time.
With my internet gone for a week, I used the time to watch the Australian Open with my Mum (tennis for those of you who don't know) , (P.S. go Kim Clijsters and Justin Henin :D) and read. I actually read a very good book called Ginger Snaps by Cathy Cassidy, which I will review once I get round to editing my blog and finishing the long overdue construction. I apologise for making this post long, a week a bit gives a girl a lot to think about.
Thanks to Maizy for commenting!!!

I have a serious case of writer's block. Besides the fact I haven't written anything decent in over a month, I'm pretty much the same.
Its still hot and humid. I'm swimming a lot. Which is about the only exersise I do.
I went shopping the other day, and got a new book ( The Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead, Vampire Academy) , a pretty lilac billabong wallet, and some bargain clothes from the New Year's sales.
I'm currently listening to my iPod on shuffle to try and trigger my imagination. So far, no such luck.
I got a couple of new songs last night from iTunes. I got Superchick's Stand In the Rain, and Hey Monday's Where Is My Head. I was going to buy a Fireflight song, but I need advice on what one to get!!! what is the best one?? (Alice, you're probably the best person to ask in this case, because we have very similar music taste :P)
I've got my stupid eye test on the 18th. I've been getting headaches from reading at night as well.
Its getting close to I have to go off to boarding school. Only 3 and a bit more weeks.

It is so hot here at the moment. Its around 25 degrees celcius, and its not even past midday yet. Thank goodness for our pool! I just had a light lunch because I'm going to go swimming again.
I'm trying to swim as many laps as I can because I love swimming and I apparently inherited my Mum's broad shoulders. Which is a perfect build for a swimmer. Never mind the fact that I have hardly any muscles to speak of.
I've been warming up on the deck, and I realised I've become really paranoid about UV rays and skin cancer. I suppose that's a good thing, seeing as New Zealand's UV ray rates are among the highest in the world, but ultimately, it will probably stop any chances of me getting a decent tan.
Its New year's eve, and I plan to stay up until midnight, although my family doesn't really do too much to celebrate. I shall have my own mini HAPPY NEW YEAR celebration in the confines of my own room.

I hope everyone had an awesome christmas and got loads of cool presents and had a fantastic time :D I sure did :)
My Mum & Dad got me a purple fujifilm finepix digital camera, an iPod dock, a Billabong pencil case, and Only The Good Spy Young by Ally Carter (which I finished last night :P) , a review for that particular book, among others, will be posted on my book review page. But for now, watch this space :)
I promised you guys a picture of our family dog, Maddie. I appear to be experiencing a slight technical hitch with weebly current, so I promise to get to the bottom of it later :)

"She lives in a fairytale somewhere to far for us to find.Forgotten the taste and smell of the world that she's left behind. I told her the angles are all wrong, now she's ripping wings off of butterflies."
~Paramore. Before the Farro brothers left ,before my life was over and before I had strung myself into emotional turmoil about that particular band.
I should keep writing Alexa. ~INTERRUPTION~ Crap.BADABADABADABADA will NEVER sound the same again (sad face)
*Cough cough* back to business. I have gotten new ideas and inspiration from songs, mainly from artists like Taylor Swift and yes, still Paramore.Well mainly paramore. I hope to get at least one chapter written over the summer,so I should stop procrastinating and get on with it. Speaking of procrastinating, I asked Ally Carter on her website's post about procrastination, and she just said "I think about all my fans and how much they want a book to be written, so that just stops me entirely."
Not helping Ally!!! I know, I suppose I should be forever greatful , especially since one of my IDOLS of writing answered a question from ME.(epic crazy fan squealing moment!!!!!) I mean, how she can resist temptation of T.V., facebook, Glee,reading,food...you get what I mean.
Alice , you are a lifesaver when it comes to being lonely on the otherside of the world.I feel like if I met you, we would be automatically best friends. Hey... if I start saving now how many years would it take to get to the U.S.? 5?10? New York is calling....
 xoxoxo <3 L

Ok, well this is a big shock to me. Two things actually, have recently circulated around the web that (a) I firstly could not believe would happen/have happened and (b) That i am incredibly sad about.
Event 1:
I logged onto dizzywood today, only to find (sniffle) that its closing down after December 31st.Just like that.Gone. :(
Event 2:
Zac and Josh Farro have LEFT paramore. My life is officially over. The band without the Farro brothers is just..not paramore. I found this out from Alice. Thanks for letting me know!I could have gone antoher week without knowing.
Ok,now my ears are cursed, because my sister just started playing Justin Bieber full boar on her phone. Can this day GET any worse?
Probably. But hey , on the bright side, since I can no longer (a) play dizzywood and (b) cherish paramore in the way I currently do,
