Lydia's Journal ♥

How is everyone? I apologise for not posting for a while, a lot has happened and I just needed some time to have a break from blogging.
My Great Nana sadly passed away last week, which has been really tough for me. The funeral was a 5 hour drive away,so we had to go there and then come back late Wednesday Night so we could be home for our last day of primary school.

It was a bit sad having my last day at a school I've been at for 8 years, however I'm ready for change and new challenges I'm about to face. Which also brings me to the fact that it is..................................
THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SIX WEEKS OF AWESOMENESS AND SUMMER!!!!!!!!
Christmas is a week away!!!! I got my Mum to order Only The Good Spy Young for me, so I can't wait to read it. I also have just finished The Hunger Games. It was EPIC. I reccomend it to everyone, and Stephy, you should try reading it again.Once you get past the weirdish parts at the beginning, you cannot put the book down  :)
Hope everyone is well and enjoying themselves:)Have you guys finished sch

I'm getting really excited about Christmas.
We put our Christmas tree up the other day, and its a real tree, so now our house smells like Christmas!
Our school production is down right stressful and tiring, although I will certainly be glad when we have our final performance on Thursday.
I have singned up for this writing website called WattPad, which I may use to continue writing some stories I've been working on. I haven't posted anything yet, however I will keep you guys updated when I do, and give you my account details.
I thought, just because I'm in the Christmas mood, an its 18 days until it( but, hey who's counting?), I would compose a wishlist.

I've started writing in a journal again.I know it sounds cheesy, however I love the feeling of writing whatever about whoever you want. Its also a good way to make sure I write regulary. I don't know how long it will last, but for now, it may be something good to look back on.
I got a new magazine yesterday, and I also got a free purple gel pen with it, which is perfect for me because I'm the kind of girl that NEVER can have enough pens. Its really good quality, and its the kind that doesn't smudge.
I read somewhere that blogging is a good way to channel your inner thoughts and inspiration, and be a happier person because of it. I agree, blogging has definitely made me a happier person.
I've got a few more page ideas coming, so stay tuned for some new features coming in the next few weeks. I hope to dedicate most of the Christmas holidays to writing and managing this blog. And spending time with family and friends, especially since highschool is only 8 weeks or so away.Dear God I love summer. Even more so since we have our own pool. :D

A moment of silence for the 29 miners who lost their lives in Pike River mine.

I had my highschool test and tour yesterday, which was ok. Although I'm pretty sure I didn't do that well on the 2 HOUR test, I'm ok with how I did. I got my uniform , which I actually like :) . Overall, I'm pretty excited about going to Boarding school :D
We went into town afterwards and I got a new school bag (my current one has a broken zip ) and my PURPLE digital camera which I put money towards. I can't use it until Christmas, which really sucks, because I can't wait to take pictures :D

Ughhhh.....today was...not such a good day!!!For one, it was Monday, which of course makes it VERY bad. Secondly, however, there was an eye test for school students today. Long story short, I may or may not need glasses, and I have to see an optomoterist. I think I know whether or not my eyes are fine or not, thankyou! I've got the reading at very late hours in dim light badge to prove it! Sorry if I sound especially grumpy, it just annoys me that I have to sit through a gruelling eye test to see if I need glasses. Everyone says I suit glasses, but I think it would be very annoying having to look after them and carry them around all day. Can I have some help? Are eye tests annoying? Are glasses annoying? HELP ME.

P.S. I finally finished a new header for my "about me" page. The effects portion of the header editing thingy only works on google chrome.Hrmm.

I'm baaaaackkkkkk!!!! From what you may ask? Camp! It was so awesomely epic, our teacher made it the best ever. We went kayacking, swimming, to the utterly awesome museum , and so much more!! I'm so tired, thanks to a long bus ride home and over-early mornings. I loved kayacking, because it was so awesome paddling around in the wharf, and we got to throw wet sponges and each and the instructors, The food was ish, but delicious compared to what we got last year.We stayed in a university hostel, so it was quite cool accomadation, and we all had a lot of fun. The weather was perfectly sunny and hot, so going on the ferry was like a lake, and walking up the island had AWESOME views. It was  a great last camp for primary school:)
I'm currently reviewing my weebly site so I can make it as good as possible. My about me page may be due for a change, along with a few more page ideas I have up my sleave.

15/11/2010 :D
I'm having fun decorating this blog:) The headers are finally finished, except for this one, because I lost the original, sadly. Like the pic? I think its really cute. Just a little update on my crazy life: I had my 13th birthday two weeks ago, and I had an awesome day.I got a phone!!!Finally. To bad I'm sort of getting addicted to it:) The school year is almost at an end, which means stressful production practice, crammed-in homework, and school camp:D We go on camp next week, which will be so fun, and I'll fill you in on some of the utterly awesome parts. Shout out to Alice, Stephy, and Maizy.
Rock on:)

Lolz and lots of cookies:)
Today was awesome^^ It was tech today ,which meant woodwork, cushion cover designing, and (gulp!) sewing. I sucked at sewing as usual, but I kinda had fun, and my sewing isn't as bad (well, not QUITE.) as it used to be. I also got an iceblock from my teacher for getting on level 5 of writing. They are national levels, and I'm now the best in my whole school^^:) Our old teacher came to visit us as well, with her new baby boy!!He is so cute:D
I had a speech comp yesterday, which my friend and I competed in for our school. My friend got 1st= with this other kid, and I would have got third if there was no first equal:(
I've got a second speech comp next week, which is a little nerve-wracking, since way more people are  going to be there, including my principal. (Eeek!) My friend from netball is also entering, and she is a really good speaker!!!
Less than 2 weeks to go unitl my birthday!!!! I FINALLY get a phone! Score!!
